Congolese Stamps

Congolese Stamps

The Republic of the Congo is a country in West Africa. The country was first found by Portuguese explorer Diogo Cao.

But this was the first explorer from another continent to find the land. The Pyamy people were the first people to find and settle in the land.

But soon the French went to this new land and fought the Portuguese. French won. But the people who lived there before them wanted the land not to be ruled by them.

In the 1990's, the people of the land of present day Congo fought for rights and they won. The people named the country the Republic of the Congo.

Electric Train from Italy

This electric train is from Italy. Electric trains are trains powered from an electric cell or a fuel cell. They are connected to power lines and then they go to their destination.

Electric trains are most commonly used in Asia, because in Asia, billions of people live there and need food and supplies. They are also found in Europe and all over the world.

M62 (Soviet Train)

The M62 was a Soviet train to deliver cargo and goods across the wide Soviet Union. This train was also built and went to Romania, and the Eastern Bloc, which was parts of Southwest and East European countries. Some were even built in Cuba.

The first M62 train went to Hungary, when 700 of these M62 trains were built.

The train was built in 1970's and was going across the Soviet Union tracks and stations. This train was very successful for the country.

But as the Soviet Union split, the train was stopped from production and the trains are no longer on the tracks of Russia.

Many kinds of the M62 were built in different countries such as the Czech Republic and Germany. The train is dead, but the shape and design are still alive.

He was a very good mathematician, one of the greatest in the world. He was one of the members to create the Manhattan project in World War II. Albert won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921.

He was visiting the United States in the 1930's around the time that Adolf Hitler rose to power in Germany. Being Jewish though a professor in Berlin, he did not return back to Germany and become a citizen of the United States.

In World War II, he was one of the most wanted Jews in the war, with a $5,000 dollar price tag over his head, wanted by Germany, not just because of his religion, but because he could give Germany the information to make the first bomb, which he gave to the Americans.

He died in 1955, due to a abdominal aortic aneurysm. But we shall always remember him because of the things he did in his life.
